This set of three paring knives comes with a Beechwood cutting board that performs triple duty as a cutting surface, a serving piece, and knife storage. Our French-made knives are fashioned from high-quality stainless steel set in PaperStone handles secured with stainless steel rivets. PaperStone, a sustainable composite material made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper free of petroleum resins and colored with natural pigments. PaperStone has the look and feel of natural stone, is durable, impervious to water and food stains, won't harbor bacteria and, is dishwasher safe. The Yatagan knife at 7-1/8'' with a 3-1/2'' blade has a slightly curved single-edge blade ideal for seed removal and peeling. The 6-1/2'' bird's beak knife features a 3'' hooked blade for frustration-free coring and precision cuts. Reach for the 6-3/4'' long serrated knife (3 1/4'' blade) when cutting delicate tomatoes etc. Each knife fits into its own groove in the 7-1/2'' X 9'' beechwood cutting board. Hidden embedded magnets on the underside of the board hold the knives in place so they are always at hand. The board is footed with rubber grips and fits into a standard kitchen drawer. Designed in collaboration with a multi-generational family business on a recent trip to France.
